Our Programs: Supporting and Empowering Youth
Advocacy for Children and Youth in Foster Care and Juvenile Justice

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program plays a vital role in advocating for children and youth in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. CASA volunteers ensure each child’s voice is heard and their best interests are represented. Advocates are volunteers of all backgrounds. No child welfare or legal experience is required. Join our Informational Session to learn more.
Tutor Program Empowering Students Through Education

Committed to providing consistent educational support, Child Advocates of Contra Costa County connects children and youth with trauma-informed volunteer tutors. Tutors meet in person with students once a week, offering help with assignments, foundational skills, or planning for college or careers. By becoming a volunteer tutor, you can empower local students and help them build a brighter future.
Therapy Project California Offering Free Teletherapy for Youth

Youth currently and formerly in foster care face high rates of mental health challenges but often lack access to treatment. Therapy Project California, a statewide program, connects licensed therapists with these young people, offering pro bono teletherapy sessions for vital support. Open to LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, and Associates, this opportunity helps youth heal, build resilience, and develop coping skills. Join us in bridging the mental health gap and transforming young lives.
Reproductive Health Resources for Youth in Foster Care
Having access to reproductive health education and services is vital to the well-being of youth in foster care. Child Advocates connects youth to these essential services through education, awareness, and referrals. Partnering with Contra Costa Health, we provide information on contraception, STIs, consent, and healthy relationships, as well as referrals to trusted providers. Together, we empower youth to make informed decisions, prioritize their health, and build brighter futures.
